#99 The Work Days

Hello, friends.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

What I’m Learning/Doing

I’ve been experimenting with a new schedule over the last three weeks — no meetings on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Planning my “week ahead” is an ongoing work in progress.

So far, this one has worked well and allowed me to have two consecutive days of focused work.

I’ve noticed my time to get into the flow of work is getting shorter. Wopr

The first week, it took almost the whole first day to get into a good work state. I had too much pull back to jumping into handling emails or Basecamp messages.

I’m now starting to get used to having nothing to respond to right away.

Moving out of being a “full-time” operator is tough when it’s work you’ve been doing for over a decade and work you like doing.
