#80 The One Customer

Hello, friends.

It’s been a little hot here in NC. Last week my youngest turned 7 years old and it was 95 degrees. In October! What?

What I’m Learning/Doing

Later today I’m leading a session at Launch Greensboro focused on target markets. Here are a few of my notes.

Deserted island customer

Remember as a kid the game where you’d ask if you were stuck on a deserted island, what one person, record, book, etc., would you want to be stuck with?

Think about that as it relates to your customers today.

What types of customers would you focus on if you could only have one type of customer to buy from you from here on out?

These are your target customers.

My guess is they also line up with the following definition.

Target customers are the one who buy from you quickly and pay full-price most of the time.

Changelog

Honestly: Refining our engagement processes to provide more value to our clients. Have a workshop for engagement leads scheduled for next week.

LOFT: Added several more customers last week. Broke $30k in MRR.

CrewPay: Making good progress on the 1099 service and Quickbooks integrations. Ramping up marketing channel experimentation.

Pttrns: Ad experiment for desktop was a mixed bag. Our conversions were higher but so were the costs to acquire those customers. New channel experiments to come!

Until next time.
