You will need to speak multiple languages depending on the medium. Print is a different language than audio and video. Blogging uses a different language than press releases or email.
Social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook create real-time interactions where responsiveness is paramount. They also give us the opportunity to communicate personally but be seen by many. The Old Spice responses are a classic example of this.
Above all else, communication is a two way street. Responsibilities are held by the listener and sender. Ask for feedback, test different messaging, and learn how to think before you speak.
