Criticism
I was criticized recently by someone whose opinion I could care less about.
The initial reaction I guard against when criticized by anyone is to get defensive, but more so when the criticizer is not a friend, colleague mentor, or family member.
However, in every case, even ones like the above where I don’t care what the person thinks of me, I assume their criticism is at least partially true. We all have blind spots.
Instead of arguing, I seek to address it.
I write to friends when something’s worth sharing: insights on leadership, reflections on faith, thoughts on business, and the occasional golf story. Sign up and I’ll let you know when there’s something.
No spam, no sharing to third party. Only you and me.
