The Goonies is another one of those films from my childhood that never gets old. It is also the canvas for today’s movie lesson.

I don’t know of a single person that doesn’t have dreams. Personal dreams and aspirations are possessed by every man, woman and child from every walk of life. Our dreams drive us, inspire us and challenge us. Every invention, innovation and good work starts as a dream inside someone’s mind.

But they are fragile. Many times one negative comment can snuff it out. Stef reminds us not to steal another person’s dream. It’s theirs.

This falls into “the golden rule” category. So let’s not be critical of others’ dreams even if we think it’s silly, unrealistic or ludicrous. Instead, let’s be encouragers.
